Ramalama AI Trend: How to Do the Costume Walk With AI
The Ramalama AI trend explained: the low-camera costume walk and reveal, where it came from, and how to make yours from one photo. Credits, tips and FAQ.

The Ramalama AI trend is the Halloween costume walk with a twist: instead of filming yourself, you make the whole shot with AI from one photo. The phone sits on the floor, the feet stalk toward it, and the camera tilts up to reveal a witch, a vampire or a pet in a tiny costume. This guide explains the Ramalama trend and where it came from, then shows how to do the Ramalama AI walk on Oraclip, what it costs and how to get a good reveal.

What is the Ramalama trend?
Ramalama is a TikTok Halloween trend set to Róisín Murphy's 2015 song "Ramalama (Bang Bang)". The format:
- You put the phone on the floor and walk slowly and heavily toward it, so only your shoes show.
- On the whispered line, the camera tilts up and the full costume is revealed, usually with a deadpan stare.
It first went big for Halloween 2025 and came back in late September 2026. Human versions still rack up huge numbers, for example @jaxsongauntt and @notsophiesilva. MakeViral counted about 446,000 videos using the sound on October 11.
The AI version: pets in costumes
In 2026 the AI version is the one going viral, mostly with animals walking upright in tiny outfits:
- @meowtakeover's kittens in witch costumes, walking through a parking garage, posted October 11: 19.6M views.
- @meowtakeover's Red Riding Hood and the wolf, posted October 15: 4.2M views.
- @kennyslowbird's devil parrot, posted October 14: 3.1M views.
View counts were checked on October 23, 2026. You can watch re-hosted copies of these clips, credited to their creators, on the Ramalama AI page.
The Ramalama shot, second by second

| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0–3 s | Only the feet, stalking toward the low camera on the beat |
| 3–4 s | The camera tilts up and rises from the floor |
| 4–5 s | The full costume reveal, a deadpan stare and one head tilt |
The suspense of seeing only shoes, then the payoff of the full look, is the whole joke. With AI the costume can be anything.
How to do the Ramalama AI walk on Oraclip
- Open Ramalama AI. The generator is on the left and the examples on the right.
- Upload one photo. You, a friend who said yes, or your pet. A clear face is what matters; the costume comes from the prompt.
- Pick a costume. Witch (pointed hat, tattered dress, cape and broom), Vampire (Victorian suit and red-lined cape), Pet witch (your cat or dog upright in a tiny witch outfit, like the viral kittens) or Pumpkin pet (a round pumpkin costume).
- Or type your own costume. For example "a ghost bride with a long veil". It replaces the costume of the version you picked; the walk and the reveal stay the same.
- Generate. The default is Seedance 2.5, 720p, 5 seconds, 9:16.
- Add the sound in TikTok. The song is copyrighted, so your clip comes out with footsteps and room sound only. Pick "Ramalama (Bang Bang)" in TikTok or Reels and line the reveal up with the whisper.
Upload your photo and make the walk →
Why does the clip start on the feet and not on your photo? Because that is the trend. Oraclip uses your photo as the reference for the face and look in the reveal, not as the first frame.
Settings and credits
Live Oraclip credit prices on October 23, 2026, for a 5-second, 9:16 clip from one photo:
| Model | Credits |
|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5, 720p (default) | 1,000 |
| Seedance 2.5, 480p | 750 |
| Seedance 2.0, 480p | 460 |
Failed renders are refunded automatically. See pricing for plans.
- Seedance 2.5 at 720p gives the sharpest face and costume in the reveal.
- Seedance 2.0 at 480p is the cheapest and makes the same walk. Good for testing costumes.
- MiniMax H3 is not offered on this page: it only animates a photo as the first frame, and the Ramalama shot has to open on the feet. More on the models in Seedance 2.5 vs 2.0 and best AI video models.
Tips for a better reveal
- One subject, clear face, good light. Group photos, sunglasses or masks weaken the likeness in the reveal.
- Pets: show the face and body. The prompt keeps the breed, fur colours and markings.
- Describe the costume, not the camera. In "Your own costume", write what they wear ("a ghost bride with a long veil"). The low camera, the walk and the tilt-up are already handled.
- Pick contrasting shoes. The first three seconds are only feet, so boots or bright shoes in your costume text make the opening more striking.
- Time the sound. In TikTok, slide the Ramalama sound so the whisper lands at about 3 seconds, when the camera starts to rise.
- No minors, no public figures. Only upload photos you have the right to use.
